About H Split Taper Lock Bushing

CTS® H Split Bushing

The H is a compact split-taper bushing designed for light- and medium-duty power-transmission applications. It provides a practical step up from the G size, accommodating larger shaft diameters while maintaining a compact design and simple installation.

The H bushing accommodates shaft diameters from 3/8" to 1-1/2", including common sizes such as 1-3/8" and 1-7/16". It uses two 1/4" cap screws with a recommended tightening torque of 95 in-lbs, allowing the bushing to be securely installed and removed without specialized equipment. The standard split taper design provides reliable clamping between the shaft and mating hub, while the 2" bolt circle supports use with compatible pulleys, sprockets, sheaves, and weld-on hubs.

For applications requiring larger shaft capacity or higher load capability, the H provides a practical alternative to the smaller G split taper bushing size. For heavier-duty applications, CTS also offers larger split taper bushing sizes to meet higher torque and load requirements.
